Position Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail oriented Commercial Interior Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will assist in developing and executing design concepts for a variety of spaces and project types. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to grow their skills in a fast paced, supportive and engaging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the creation and development of concepts, space plans and 3D visualizations.
Select and specify FF&E, finishes, lighting, fixtures, and materials for commercial projects.
Conduct site visits to measure, review installations, and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
Assist in preparing client presentations, design documentation, and schedules.
Prepare and maintain project files and materials.
Manage the studio library and vendor schedule.
Research updates to design trends, codes, sustainability, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or related field.
1 - 3 years of commercial/interior design experience (internships or assistant roles).
Proficient in architectural drafting and rendering software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Enscape, etc.).
Adobe Creative Suite experience preferred.
Working knowledge of building codes, ADA accessibility, and safety standards.
Desire to pursue NCIDQ certification.
Strong problem solving, adaptability, and collaboration skills.
Ability to navigate site challenges, evolving client needs and multi-disciplinary coordination.
